Jackie Evancho: The Power of Social Media

Posted by:

I’m sitting in my living room watching America’s Got Talent this evening and this 10 year old with a voice like an angel is on the show because of a few videos that were posted on YouTube. This young lady now has the potential of winning the entire competition and it all started with an uploaded video to a social media web site. It happens every day; we post a picture, a blog, or even a video and then the spiders, robots and the rest of the Internet trackers begin their work.

I cannot stress it enough………….it is extremely important in your daily marketing of your business, or hobbie, to be involved with social media. One simple upload can change your future. Anything that you put in your camera or digital recorder, provided that it is legal and acceptable for use on public websites such as YouTube, should be uploaded to social media web sites. If it’s a photo of an event happening that the news media will want, post it on your web site if you have one, then link it to the social media web sites. Why do you post it on your site first? Because your web site can become an overnight sensation and possibly a household name that millions of visitors will seek out. If you are business, what better form of advertising than a photo that goes viral. Go ahead, post your web address on the photo so that when the news media picks it up and displays it on television stations locally or around the globe, your web address will be there for all the world to see.
